Each Spiderwort flower blooms for a short time and then wilts.
Because of this process, seeds are developed and dropped over a period of
time. When most flowers have finished blooming, the whole flowering head
may be removed and placed in a paper bag. As the head dries, the mature
seeds that are still available will be released from the head.
